Welcome to the Canny Grapes Champagne Club

Anja’s passion for champagne was ignited when she entered the 2016 Vin de Champagne Awards studying tirelessly all about champagne and becoming one of six professional finalists in Australia. Ever since, Anja has invited wine lovers and champagne enthusiasts to appreciate and celebrate the incredibly complex world of French champagne. Always curious to dive deeper into the world of Champagne, expanding her knowledge, Anja enrolled in the Champagne Master Level Program by The Wine Scholar Guild, graduating in March 2024.

After years of sharing her knowledge and passion for champagne, curating and hosting champagne events in Perth, building a wonderful kind-hearted community, visiting the Champagne region and travelling for champagne events within Australia, Anja started the CG Champagne Club. Here she is dedicated to offer education focussed champagne experiences beyond the bottle, connecting with Champagne as a place, the vision and ambition behind the producers and guiding through selected tastings.

With over three-hundred champagne houses and thousands of growers the journey through Champagne is an exciting, effervescent experience.

The CG Champagne Club is a private, educational group of like-hearted champagne lovers, curious to learn more about champagne. The annual membership includes a minimum of six tutored tastings, gaining an in depth knowledge and understanding of champagne, access to the CG champagne library and more. So if you simply love and enjoy champagne or you work in the wine industry, wanting to expand your tasting library and champagne knowledge, this is your ultimate opportunity to do exactly that. The new edition of the CG CHAMPAGNE CLUB has a strong focus on Champagne as a place. Since travelling again to Champagne in 2023, spending two weeks visiting producers in the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blanc, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Bar, I’m ready to share insights and learnings from my trip along with some very special cuvées.
